The upcoming Hydropolis project is Prague’s first science centre dedicated to water. The centre’s primary aim is to explain to visitors how important water management is and what technology it involves, and to teach them more about water itself. In a fun, interactive, and educational way.

In Prague’s Vinohrady district, which is near the city centre. Hydropolis will be housed on the premises of the former Vinohrady Waterworks, which dates back to 1882 (with the water tower subsequently built in 1891).

Hydropolis looks forward to welcoming primary and secondary school students. We have sought the services of an organisation with years of experience in non-formal education to prepare the educational programmes. We are also taking inspiration from other science centres in the Czech Republic and elsewhere in Europe. The result should be a place where adults and all those who love exploring will also find something to enjoy.

The outdoor area with water features will be open to the public during the day and will close its gates for the night. We are planning to let the public visit the exhibitions every day, except Mondays.
